General technical sales conditions

Hammer Tępper’s general technical sales conditions are additional to the general sales conditions. These general technical conditions are more describing about tolerances, patterns, colours etc.

Tolerances

Specifications
  • According to test methods and results, all our specifications are in accordance with European standard for floor coverings; EN 1307:

    EN1307 consists of for example.:
Total weight: Acceptable tolerance +/- 15% Pile quantity: Acceptable tolerance +/- 15%/-10% Pile height: Acceptable tolerance +/- 1mm
Measures
  • Length:
All stock items with a standard length measure is delivered with an acceptable tolerance on +/-0,5%. Rolls in special lengths are delivered with a tolerance on +2%/-0%. All lengths exceeding 18lm are regarded and invoiced as rolls. .
  • Width:
All stock items in standard widths (366 cm, 400 cm and 500 cm) are delivered with an acceptable tolerance on +/- 3cm.
  • Cut:
All lengths below 18lm. These are delivered with a tolerance on +1%/-0%.
Patterns
  • Pattern report:
A pattern report indicates the measurements of the dominating pattern in both width and length direction.
  • Displacement:
The tolerance for assembling reports in the length direction is +/- 0,5%.
  • Curves:
Pattern curves may appear in both sides where the pattern is on the same height but curves cross the width of the carpet. The tolerance for this +/-1%.
  • Swings:
If the distance from the pattern to the edge of the carpet swings in the length direction, the tolerance is +/- 1%.
Colours
  • Tint deviation:
Tint deviations are inevitable when changing from one production to another. Therefore slight changes will be seen between a pegboard/sample and the product delivered. By installation in the same room it is important to orders rolls from same dye batch. The orderer is responsible to state this as it is the fitters’ responsibility to control the rolls before cutting and fitting.
  • Shading:
The concept covers water-like spots in the carpet which is due to an area determined change in the original pile slant. This phenomenon is likely to be seen in velour products. Depending on light sources and light influences, dark areas that deviate from the general expression may appear. This is not a production error and does not submit to any claims.
  • Pile reversal:
This is seen in a clearly defined area where a change in the pile direction in relation to the original pile direction appears. The optical effect by this change is more visible than by shading, as mention above. The reason for this phenomenon is not known and not considered as a production error and by this not submitted to any claims.
Quantities
  • Roll lengths:
Ordering rolls at roll price, we offer roll lengths which are available in stock. If other roll lengths are required these can be bought within the normal tolerances (see above) by next production of the quality requested. If the rolls in stock need to be cut down they will be invoiced at cut price.
  • Special orders:
Producing special orders (= not stock items) 3% over production must be counted in. These 3% will be invoiced and sent. If the production exceeds the 3% this quantity can be dispatched free of charge.
